Ancient Egypt
Ancient Egypt spanned from about 6000 BC to 2686 BC, at the start of the Old Kingdom of Egypt. It included the Predynastic period of Egypt up to the Early Dynastic Period. This was the start of Egypt's way of life, it included the creation of their hieroglyphics, graphical narratives, royal cemeteries, and possibly the first immigration. It was a time of art and discovery that led to the known Egyptian way of life.
Old Kingdom
The Old Kingdom of Egypt spans the time in history from 2686 BC until 2181 BC. It was in this time that the Great Pyramids of Egypt were built at Giza and revered as one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, as well as several others, making the Old Kingdom known as the "Age of the Pyramids". The Third through the Sixth Egyptian Dynasties were the rulers of the Old Kingdom.
Middle Kingdom
The Middle Kingdom of Egypt is the period in the history of ancient Egypt stretching from the establishment of the Eleventh Dynasty to the end of the Fourteenth Dynasty, between 2055 BC and 1650 BC. There is some debate on whether to include the thirteenth and fourteenth dynasties in the Middle Kingdom or the Second Intermediate Period.
New Kingdom
The New Kingdom of Egypt, also referred to as the
Egyptian Empire is the period in ancient Egyptian history
between the 16th Century and the 11th century BC,covering the
Eighteenth, Nineteenth, and Twentieth Dynasties of Egypt.
The New Kingdom followed the Second Intermediate Period
and was succeeded by the Third Intermediate Period. It was
Egypt's most prosperous time and marked the peak of its power.
